Houston Chapter of AMAC Meetings Chapter Charter and Election Proposed Timeline
Objective: To elect officers and form committees for the Houston Chapter of AMAC.
Timeline:
- June 6th -Meeting to decide on committees and understand tasks
- June 20th – Candidate Nominations
- July 8th – Candidate Forum
- July 18th –Elections
All meeting times are 3pm-5pm Central Standard Time
Detail Timeline:
June 6th Meeting
- Establish and agree on a timeline for everything.
- Formation of Committees
- Divide into two committees:
- Programs and Membership
- Vote on committee leaders
- Set objectives, timelines, and responsibilities for each committee.
- Each committee to meet separately to plan for the year and report out during June 20th Meeting
June 20th Meeting
- Committee Reports
- Programs and Membership report out with recommendation
- Candidate Nominations
- Collect nominations for officer positions.
- Ensure nominees meet eligibility criteria. (Send to AMAC to review)
July 8th Meeting
- Candidates Forum
- Allow candidates to present their platforms.
- Q&A session for members to learn about candidates.
July 18th Meeting
- Elections
- Face-to-Face Elections
- Prepare ballots
- Conduct elections at a designated location.
- Count and announce results promptly.
Goals
- Ensure transparency and fairness in the election process.
- Encourage member participation and engagement.
- Provide clear communication regarding timelines, procedures, and expectations
- Maintain records of all nominations, votes, and election results for transparency and future reference.
